Project WHY has no institutional or government support, and hence depends entirely on individuals and donations from well wishers and supporters.
Till date we have been able to sustain all its activities thanks to an ever increasing network of supporters.
Almost all the money received goes back to the community we work with.

VOLUNTEERS AND FRIENDS

planetWHY is a place where you may come across people from many lands:
Uganda, France, Azerbeijan, Switzerland, Senegal, England.. they are our band of volunteers who come and give their time and love.
they share their knowledge and experience and help us do what we set out to.
they spend a few days, a few weeks or even a few months.

JUST 1 RUPEE

for any organisation, the biggest challenge is sustainability. how to overcome funding issues and stand on one's own.
for any community development programme to be useful, it is important to ensure that all the resources needed are available from within the community itself.
the 1 rupee option is just that. a funding option that is open to anyone, even the poorest person. one rupee can easily be set aside each day and that rupee becomes an incredible pool that can be utilised for social empowerment.
and above all the 1 rupee option is a funding activity that can be steered by anyone, as it does not require complex forms to be filled, but simply conviction and honesty, something teamProjectWHY has in abundance!
